為深入貫徹落實(shí)《教育部關(guān)于進(jìn)一步推進(jìn)高中階段學(xué)?？荚囌猩贫雀母锏闹笇?dǎo)意見》有關(guān)精神，落實(shí)英語學(xué)科核心素養(yǎng)的理念，保證小學(xué)、初中、高中英語教學(xué)的連貫性，在認(rèn)真研討、廣泛征求意見和參照全國其他地區(qū)做法的基礎(chǔ)上，河南省基礎(chǔ)教研室決定對2020年及以后河南普通高中招生英語考試題型做出調(diào)整。

在保持大部分題型穩(wěn)定的基礎(chǔ)上，此次對原試卷的四個題型進(jìn)行調(diào)整。取消原試卷的“單項選擇題(共計15分)”，將原試卷的“完形填空”一題由原來的10個小題(共計10分)調(diào)整為15個小題(共計15分)，將原試卷的“詞語運(yùn)用”(一個小節(jié)，10個小題，共計10分)改成“語篇填空”(兩個小節(jié)，第一小節(jié)保持原來的10個小題，共計10分，但將備選詞由12個減少為10個，增設(shè)的第二小節(jié)根據(jù)語篇要求填空，每空一詞，共5小題，共計5分)，將原試卷的“書面表達(dá)”(15分，80詞左右)調(diào)整為“書面表達(dá)”(20分，100詞左右)，原試卷的“聽力理解”“閱讀理解”和“補(bǔ)全對話”三個題型(共計70分)，保持不變。

此次調(diào)整的主要目的是遵循語言教學(xué)的普遍規(guī)律，突出語篇，強(qiáng)調(diào)運(yùn)用，引導(dǎo)教師關(guān)注語言功能和語言運(yùn)用，以期有效地解決當(dāng)前英語教學(xué)中普遍存在的因“碎片化”“淺層化”而導(dǎo)致的“耗時低效”的問題。從未來英語測試的命題趨勢來看，單項選擇將會逐漸被新的題型所取代。這種試卷結(jié)構(gòu)的改變進(jìn)一步降低了客觀選擇題的比例，加大了主觀題的考查力度，順應(yīng)了時代對英語語言綜合運(yùn)用能力考查的要求。
